Position Overview
The Principal serves as the school leader and is responsible for driving strong academic outcomes, developing a high-performing leadership team, and ensuring a thriving school culture.
This role requires a leader with a proven record of driving student growth in a high-autonomy, results-driven school model.
Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership (40%)
Coach and develop Deans of Instruction to drive teacher effectiveness
Implement data-driven instruction aligned with state standards
Lead curriculum and professional development initiatives
Maintain classroom presence and provide real-time coaching
Organizational & Talent Leadership (30%)
Recruit and retain high-performing school staff
Develop sustainable organizational systems and goals
Build leadership pipeline through Dean and AP development
Monitor school-wide performance metrics
Cultural & Community Leadership (20%)
Foster firm, fair school culture with high expectations
Build connections between staff, students, and families
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion
Strategic & Operational Oversight (10%)
Oversee hiring, recruitment, and compliance
Manage school-wide logistics
Drive strategic initiatives with Board and CEO

Minimum Qualifications & Experience
3-4 years of experience as a Principal OR 1-3 years as an AP with 2 years as Principal
K-8 instructional leadership experience
High-autonomy school model experience
Curriculum and assessment expertise
Strong relationship-building skills
Charter/turnaround school experience
Master's preferred
Valid Louisiana teaching license (or ability to obtain)
Salary Range:
The expected salary range offered for this role is $90,000-$110,000 plus a competitive compensation package, including comprehensive health benefits.
Hiring Timeline:
This role will be filled as soon as possible to allow for side-by-side onboarding before the next school year. If hired later, onboarding will take place in June/July.
