This is an exceptional opportunity for you to acquire hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, working alongside a talented team on a significant project. We are looking for an Underground Utility Labourerwho has experience in fibre optic cable placement primarily underground to join our team. This is an entry level position with hands-on training. Essentials: Support the installation, repair and replacement of aerial and underground telecommunications lines Attention to detail and accuracy. Requires significant time doing manual labor tasks and sometimes working in tight spaces. Ability to climb and work at elevations (e.g. from ladders, Aerial lift trucks). Working knowledge of hand and power tools . (Drills, saws, jackhammers, ect.) Ability to perform physical activities including but not limited to lifting objects weighing over 50 pounds. 6 months experience operating trucks and trailers preferred. Ability to perform job activities outdoors in different weather conditions (e.g. cold and/or heat, inclement weather). Wear appropriate safety apparel and follow all established safety practices and procedures. Be adaptable to industrial work site settings for daily safety requirements. Ability to work respectfully with others and to work independently. Additional Requirements: Must provide a drivers abstract and confirm a minimum 3 years continuous current insurance with no claims or convictions on record Must be able to travel for extended periods of time and work flexible hours with the understanding that workdays can be in excess of normal hours and some weekend work may be required. Must be comfortable working rotational shifts and staying in onsite camp accommodations. Grade 12 or GED 1 year of construction experience preferred Must be able to pass Fit for duty, Drug and Alcohol testing.
