Maintenance Technician

Rose Valley Management is looking to hire a Turn Technician to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY:

A Rose Valley Management Turn Technician is an essential team member who is responsible for providing excellent customer service while performing maintenance and repair tasks that are necessary to prepare vacant units for new residents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance, drywall, painting, and snow removal.
• Customer service first attitude.
• Must have reliable transportation for on-call emergencies.
• Experience working in maintenance in an apartment community
• On call REQUIRED

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Inspect vacated apartments and complete make-ready checklists.
• Performing repair work required on vacant units as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
• Identifying and communicating any adjustments to the scope of work or associated costs required to turn the units
• Conducting quality control inspections of own work prior to advising the Manager of turn project completion
• Supporting project coordination goals identified by Turn Manager that may require collaboration with third-party contractors
• Following all project timelines and communicating immediately if assigned repair work will not be completed as scheduled
• Providing support with property inspections as required by management
• Performing other duties as assigned including the possibility of resident-facing activities
• Customer service and attention to detail are critical skills to ensure the satisfaction of residents.
• Attend team meetings, workshops and training sessions as required.
• Work efficiently within the team to ensure that apartments are ready on schedule, contributing to resident satisfaction and property success.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Able to stand and walk inside and outside in all weather
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to endure walking, squatting, bending, balancing, climbing (ladders), kneeling, crawling and prolonged standing

As an essential player in the continued success of the property, it is important our Turn Technician has excellent customer service, organizational skills, and the ability to take initiative. Additionally, prior experience working in maintenance at an apartment community is a must and strong written, verbal and computer skills are preferred.
