Title:

Sr. Electronic Warfare / RF Systems Engineer

KBR is seeking an experienced Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Engineer to support the Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) Integrated Project Team (IPT) at the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) in Point Mugu, California. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-impact team advancing the next generation of RF threat simulation and electronic warfare technologies.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the integration of Electronic Warfare (EW) test systems and generating models and simulation of the latest RF (Radiofrequency) threats.

  • Lead the integration of EW test systems and development of advanced RF threat models and simulations derived from the EWIRDB (Electronic Warfare Integrated Reprogramming Database).

  • Plan and manage lab integration schedules, simulation development timelines, and system verification activities.

  • Design, build, and test high-fidelity RF threat simulations-including emitters and radar modes-using tools such as A2PATS (SimUI and SMB) and NEWEG infrastructure to replicate real-world scenarios.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on RF simulation development, validate simulations against current intelligence reports, and deliver technical analysis reports with actionable recommendations.

  • Support full hardware/software integration, acceptance testing, and performance validation through systematic regression testing and data analysis.

  • Develop and deliver training for personnel in RF simulation techniques and use of intelligence databases such as EWIRDB.

Basic Qualifications

Citizenship & Clearance: U.S. Citizenship and active Secret Security Clearance are required. Candidates without both will not be considered.Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in Electronic Warfare (EW) and RF systems engineering.Technical Expertise:

  • Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of airborne EW system design, integration, and testing.

  • Proficient in analyzing EW intelligence databases, including EWIRDB, and experienced in constructing emitter models using A2PATS while simulating antenna behavior and emitter modes.

  • Familiarity with NEWEG infrastructure and tools for radar threat replication is also required.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week.

Compensation: $118,000-177,000. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
