Salary: Up to $75,000/Year

Roto-Rooter of Northern Michiganhas been providing plumbing services to Traverse City and surrounding area for over 65 years!

We are growing and seeking a highly motivated and talentedDrain Technician / Plumbing Repair apprenticeto join our team.

The candidate we are looking for must be an excellent communicator, have a positive attitude, and be self-motivated.

Must be flexible, able to multi-task and have the capacity to work calmly in a fast paced environment.

Pay Range:Up to $75,000 a year plus Benefits

Work Hours:Full Time Monday - Friday

Training Responsibilities:

• Ride along with Drain Techs and help where needed.
• Learn as much as you can from current fellow drain techs.
• Act as a laborer when and if needed on certain jobs.

Responsibilities Once in your Own Van:

• Perform sewer & drain cleaning/unclogging services for both residential and commercial customers using Roto-Rooters proprietary machines and equipment.
• Diagnose problems and provide cost estimates to close the sale, then you'll complete the necessary service for the customer.
• Document estimates and invoices in writing and on a provided tablet.
• Collect payment for services rendered and move on to the next service call.
• Able to work in confined spaces and open trenches
• Complete jobs within specified time line.
• Trenchless water, sewer & gas experience a plus
• Work a flexible schedule that may include nights and weekends

Required Qualifications:

• Geographical knowledge of service area or map reading skills
• Knowledge of plumbing industry is recommended, but not required
• Ability to multi-task
• Organized skill set
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Desired Qualifications:

• Any plumbing experience

Willing to train the right person.
