The Scrum Master II and III may also work closely with Program Managers to help support business and IT leaders to adapt processes, procedures, culture, and behavior needed for successful Agile delivery and the team by enacting and helping everyone understand Scrum empirical theory and pillars of transparency, inspection, and adaption. This role tracks team metrics such as Velocity, Burndown charts, Cycle time, etc. to coach the team for continuous improvement and tracks and reports progress and value delivery to Business and IT leadership. This position is responsible for effectively coaching one or more teams where low-level coaching is required and supporting and overseeing one or more initiatives for a specific line of business vertical to ensure alignment with the business's overall roadmap.Duties & Responsibilities Collaborates with the Product Owner to review work requested by the business stakeholders, as well as technical work needed to set priorities and to ensure there are 2-3 sprints of refined (ready) work Facilitates Scrum events (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective), and Backlog Refinement, and coaches team(s) to become self-organizing and self-managing, specifically: Sprint: a time box of 1-4 weeks during which a useable and potentially releasable increment of work is complete Sprint Planning: an event where the team determines what they can confidently complete in the upcoming Sprint, and self-organizes to plan the tasks needed to do so Daily Standup: 15-minute time-boxed event held every day of the Sprint for the Agile team to plan work for the next 24 hours. This optimizes team collaboration and performance Sprint Review: held at the end of the Sprint for the agile team to share with stakeholders what was done in the Sprint, elicit their feedback, and agree on the next Sprint's work to optimize value to the business Sprint Retrospective - held at the end of the Sprint for continuous improvement of the team where the team inspects itself and creates a plan for improvements to be enacted during the next Sprint Backlog Refinement: breaking down high-level ideas into independent, estimable, and testable increments of useable and potentially releasable units of work that can be completed within a Sprint Facilitates and coaches team discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution focusing on scrum values (focus, openness, respect, courage, and commitment) Shields team from work requests and distractions outside of the team's sprint work and removes impediments the team cannot resolve themselves while ensuring the team has everything they need to be successful Ensures goals, scope, and Product Backlog are fully understood by the team Ensures the team s work aligns with the product vision and organizational goals Supports the team by enacting and educating everyone on the Scrum theory of empiricism and pillars of transparency, inspection, and adaption Fosters collaboration within the team and with stakeholders, building a cohesive and motivated team environment Tracks team metrics such as Velocity, Burndown charts, Cycle time, etc. to coach team for continuous improvement, as well as tracks and reports progress and value delivery to Business and IT leadership Manages relationships with stakeholders at various levels to ensure alignment and support for the team Continuously assess and improve the Scrum processes tools, and techniques to enhance productivity and quality. Identify risks and impediments early through advanced risk management techniques and facilitate their resolution.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Comprehensive understanding of Scrum principles, practices, and values Advanced knowledge of Agile methodology and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc. Advanced skills in coaching team members and mentoring other Scrum Masters to help them grow in their roles Advanced problem-solving skills to address complex issues and impediments, and critical thinking to challenge the status quo High level of emotional intelligence to understand team dynamics, individual motivations, and foster a positive team environment Excellent coaching and mentoring abilities as a servant leader Strong issue resolution and facilitation skills Expert in guiding teams through change, fostering a culture of continuous improvement Ability to influence various levels throughout the organization Ability to foster an environment of openness and transparency within the team and with stakeholders Knowledge of software development processes and procedures, agile metrics Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills Ability to manage multiple initiatives and balance competing prioritiesMinimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED Knowledge acquired through 5 to up to 7 years of relevantwork experiencePreferred Qualifications Associate's degree or up to 3 years of college or technical school in Technology, Business, or related field Professional Scrum Master certificationWork EnvironmentOffice Environment#LI-MP1Coca-Cola Consolidated, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
