Key ResponsibilitiesSermon Prep/Preaching: Regularly preach and teach the Word, providing gospel clarity and vision.Revitalization Leadership: Lead the Revitalization Leadership Team as they assess the health of Hazelwood Baptist Church and lead the implementation of proposed changes to Hazelwood Baptist Churchs ministry programming, governance documents, and outreach efforts.Provide Gospel Leadership: Deliver gospel clarity through pastoral moments, benedictions, group settings, and other teaching opportunities as requested. Disciple and develop ministry leaders and volunteers to serve the church body.Develop and Oversee Ministries: Relaunch and lead ministries such as discipleship groups, kids/students ministries, and outreach programs.-Community/Missional Engagement: Strategize and execute community engagement opportunities and events to promote gospel sharing, church awareness, and neighborhood presence.Lead Staff and Volunteers: Recruit, train, and manage staff and high-capacity leaders to lead the various within the Hazelwood Baptist Church while fostering a culture of discipleship. Operational Oversight: Lead weekly worship services, manage church calendar, and collaborate on budget and facility needs.Celebrate Successes: Capture and share stories of Gods work to inspire and unite the church body. Participate in Orchard Church initiatives and work with leadership to maintain gospel alignment and strategic direction.Governance and Leadership Teams: Work alongside Revitalization Leadership Team to establish a deacon ministry and governance teams such as a Nominating, Human Resources, Finance, and Long Range Planning teams in preparation for Hazelwood Baptist Churchs long-term sustainability.Shepherd into Maturity: Along with the TOC Central Staff, establish markers of healthiness within Hazelwood Baptist Church. Work alongside church leadership to achieve these markers of maturity. Other Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead a Life Group for personal and family spiritual growth.Engage actively in church ministries such as baptisms, new member classes, and special events.Maintain a personal walk with God through consistent Bible study, prayer, and meditation.QualificationsEvidence of moral character and a lifestyle consistent with the churchs Constitution, Bylaws, and Statement of Faith.Preferred: Licensed or ordained minister with at least 5 years of ministry experience.Strong theological knowledge and alignment with The Orchard Churchs mission and values. Knowledge/UnderstandingCooperates with our guiding principles and The Orchard Church philosophy of ministry.Pursues knowledge of the current cultural/social environment of church membership/community.Maintains a healthy attitude and support for our Lead Pastor and team.A person who has a strong prayer life.Understanding of current events and social media.
