SUMMARY
The Resident Monitor is responsible for providing
support for the daily operations and clinical environment of the facility through the below essential duties.
The Resident Monitor will report directly to the Clinical Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Discharges and Transfers:
Facilitate timely and accurate discharges and internal/external transfers in accordance with facility protocols.
2.
Patient Orientations:
Conduct comprehensive orientations for clients, reviewing facility rules, daily schedules, client expectations, safety guidelines, and available services to support client adjustment and engagement.
3.Rounding:
Perform routine and as-needed rounds to ensure client safety, assess behavioral changes, monitor adherence to program guidelines, and maintain a secure and therapeutic environment.

Activity Coordination:
Lead or assist in the coordination and facilitation of structured group activities, including recreational,
educational, and therapeutic programming. Encourage participation and monitor client behavior during events.
5.
Phone Call Monitoring and Assistance:
Oversee and manage client phone calls in accordance with policy. Provide assistance as needed while
maintaining appropriate boundaries and ensuring client confidentiality and safety.
6.
Drug Screening: Administer and document urine drug screens (UDS) and breathalyzer tests as directed by the clinical or medical team. Ensure chain of custody and accurate labeling of all samples.
7.
Client Engagement: Maintain active and supportive engagement with clients throughout the shift. Offer encouragement, redirection, and intervention when appropriate to support positive behavior and therapeutic rapport.
8.
TDA (Therapeutic Daily Activities) Completion: Ensure accurate completion and documentation of TDAs, reflecting client participation, behavior, and overall progress. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure TDAs are meaningful and reflective of treatment goals.
9.
Lights Out Monitoring: Ensure the proper implementation of scheduled lights-out procedures. Conduct final checks for safety, secure the environment, and maintain quiet hours in accordance with facility expectations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Combination of experience and education normally represented by High School Diploma with 1-2 years relevant work experience required.
2. Must be able to form good working and therapeutic relationships.
3. Must be organized, detail oriented and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
4. Must have competent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
5. Knowledge of computers and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
6. Experience working with a team of professional staff is desirable.
7. Must be 18 years of age.
