We are searching for the best talent for Regulatory Affairs Intern to be in Santa Clara, CA.

Purpose:

The Regulatory Affairs Intern will participate and learn about the basics of Regulatory processes and procedures. Under the guidance of the Hiring Manager and Mentoring Team Members, the intern will assist in Regulatory research, publishing, organization and/or benchmarking.

  • Internship typical term is 10-12 weeks May to August, 2025
  • Full time requirement (40 hours per week)

You will be responsible for:

  • Learn the basics of medical device development, design, clinical use, and regulatory requirements for Shockwave Medical products.
  • Learn submissions structures and technical requirements.
  • Support Regulatory team in completing assigned documentation requirements for registrations and other regulatory activities.
  • Assist with assignments, when assigned, to research regulatory country-specific requirements.
  • Research competitor activity and create benchmarking reports for assessment, as assigned.
  • Learn the basics of Document Control/Change Management and assist in revising procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at accredited University is required.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.8 is required.
  • Undergraduate full-time student attending an accredited university with major emphasis in Engineering, Biocompatibility, or Regulatory Sciences.
  • Knowledge in medical devices/medical device regulations.
  • Relevant academic project, internship, or prior experience.
  • Technical writing skills and project management.
  • High proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Operate as a team member or independently with management guidance.
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

The anticipated base pay for this position is between $22.00 _ /hr _and $51.50 _ /hr , but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. This position is overtime eligible. Intern/Co-ops may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as medical insurance, sick time, holiday pay, and the Company’s consolidated retirement plan in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
