We are seeking a Reading(Dyslexia) Tutor to provide one-on-one structured literacy(Orton-Gillingham) tutoring during after school hours.

Responsibilities:

• Use diagnostic data to prescribe a personalized tutoring plan
• Design and implement individualized and sequential structured literacy lesson plans
• Establish academic goals/milestones with students
• Document and communicate progress reports with families
• Provide practice opportunities that students can do between sessions
• Work with families to get clients scheduled

​ Qualifications:

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in education
• At least 5 years of experience teaching reading as a certified teacher
• ​​​​ Training/Certification in structured literacy from reputable organizations such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, IMSE, Lexercise, LTRS, etc.
• Extensive knowledge in the components of structured literacy
• Ability to build rapport with students and families
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
