Job Description

Were looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead our team in Sealy Texas and oversee the management of all quality control activities. In this role youll have the opportunity to lead a dedicated team shape the direction of the Quality Control department and contribute to the success of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Quality Control Manager you will:

  • Lead the direction coordination and management of all qualityrelated activities ensuring the production of highquality products while maintaining a safe and collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee the entire quality control process for raw materials finished products and production processes ensuring compliance with Sika USAs high standards.
  • Work closely with production teams to maintain quality standards driving continuous improvement and supporting product development.
  • Support trial batches evaluate results and establish specifications in collaboration with other departments.
  • Manage the implementation of SPC charting and the use of quality control data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Direct and manage all laboratory testing ensuring all equipment is properly calibrated and meets company requirements.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams advising on activities resolving issues and providing insight into quality control results and root cause analysis.
  • Lead by example in following safety policies and creating an environment where all team members are empowered to speak up and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Document and report quality control data including monthly QC reports and root cause analysis while identifying corrective actions when necessary.
  • Work with suppliers to address quality concerns and ensure that products meet all specifications and standards.
  • Support ongoing professional development including the training and mentoring of staff to foster their growth and success in the department.

Qualifications :

  • B.S. degree in Chemistry Chemical Engineering Material Sciences Natural Sciences or other related field.  25 years in related dry mix manufacturing / testing is a plus
  • English language proficiency. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Working knowledge/experience with SAP and JDE system is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
