PLC Programmer – Metrology

We are seeking an experienced PLC Programmer with expertise in metrology to join our team. This role involves developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining PLC-based automation systems for precision measurement and inspection processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation , control systems , and sensor integration to ensure the accuracy and reliability of measurement systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems for metrology applications.
• Develop and optimize HMI (Human-Machine Interface) screens for efficient system interaction.
• Integrate and calibrate sensors, vision systems, and measurement devices with PLCs.
• Implement SCADA and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP ).
• Conduct root cause analysis and perform preventive maintenance on automated measurement systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to enhance precision measurement processes.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025 , and other relevant quality standards.
• Document PLC logic, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics , or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in PLC programming for industrial automation or metrology .
• Proficiency in ladder logic, structured text, and function block programming .
• Hands-on experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, or Beckhoff PLCs .
• Strong understanding of sensor technology, motion control, and data acquisition systems .
• Familiarity with robotics integration , CNC systems , and automated inspection equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and statistical process control (SPC) is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
