Soliant is hiring a dedicated Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to join a supportive team in Portland, Oregon. You'll be working in an inclusive preschool classroom serving children aged 3 to 5, with a total caseload of approximately 17 students and the support of two paraprofessionals.
This role focuses on early intervention, individualized instruction, and collaborative planning, using the Learning Experiences Alternative Program (LEAP) to guide instruction and classroom management.
Provide instruction and support to preschool-aged students with a range of developmental needs
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction as needed
Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
Use the LEAP model to support inclusive classroom practices
Foster a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for all students
Valid Oregon teaching license with either:
Special Education PK12 endorsement, or
Early Childhood Special Education endorsement
Experience writing and implementing IEPs
Comfortable working with related services and support teams
Strong communication and organization skills
Preferred: Knowledge of IFSPs and early intervention programs
Pre-developed curriculum and instructional resources
