Motion Graphic Design Apprenticeship
The Mixon Digital Motion Graphic Design Apprenticeship provides a rewarding, diverse, challenging, and educational experience for recent college graduates or current students. This is a paid position.
Mixon Digital is seeking individuals to be an integral part of our team to assist our creative director in creating content for our various client's event display needs
We are looking for dependable candidate with a passion for design, tech savvy and superb creative skills. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on knowledge and experience working with a growing sports and entertainment company recently relocated to the Atlanta area.
The Apprenticeship will last for 6 months. We require a commitment of 20-30 hours per week, and we're flexible on the schedule. This could turn into a full-time job for the right candidate.
This apprenticeship will begin the 2nd week of March.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with our creative director/creative team on graphics templates for our clients
Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing and on-brand motion graphics for stats templates.
Develop and refine design concepts based on creative briefs and project requirements.
Use industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D) to bring static designs to life.
Conceptualize and pitch ideas
Brainstorm and contribute creative ideas for motion graphics projects, keeping up to date with current design trends.
Prepare and present design concepts to the team, incorporating feedback and making revisions as needed.
Collaborate across teams
Work closely with our development team and other members of the company to ensure cohesive storytelling through motion graphics.
Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress, timelines, and creative direction.
Assist in production tasks
Support the production team in various tasks, such as asset organization, file management, and quality control.
Assist with rendering and exporting final motion graphics files for distribution.
Stay informed on sports trends
Stay up to date with the latest sports trends and developments to inform design choices.
Understand the target audience and tailor motion graphics to resonate with sports fans.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Enrolled in a degree program in television, communications, animation, digital media or motion graphics, or a recent graduate of one of these programs.
Experience in sports preferred but not required.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Have working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Experience in Cinema 4D is a plus.
Proficiency with other various graphic, video and motion graphic software.
Understanding (or strong desire to learn) of design principles, animation techniques, and storytelling.
Willingness to learn new software and techniques.
Creative individual who can collaborate in a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Passion for sports and a keen interest in sports media.
Experience working within a fast-paced, deadline oriented, high-energy environment.
