The Opportunity

In this critical leadership role in Black & Veatch’s world class consulting organization, you will have the opportunity to:

• Coordinate and drive growth in our priority markets, in collaboration with the Solution Leaders, Sector/Segment Leaders and Sales Leaders as appropriate
• Build strong strategic relationships with Sector/Segment Leadership and Solution Leadership
• Develop strategic vision and go to market plan for the designated market(s) to drive significant and sustained profitable growth.  

The Team

Black & Veatch’s Infrastructure Advisory business offers an integrated portfolio of strategic consulting and operation resiliency services that apply across the client’s entire investment-to-operations lifecycle commitments. Included are Strategic Advisory, Industrial Cybersecurity, and Operating Assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategic relationship between Infrastructure Advisory (IA) Oil & Gas Market and the rest of BV Sector / Segments and relevant Solution Portfolios
• Understand Market Trends, key issues, buying practices (paint bigger picture & link our solutions to the future)
• Develop and execute IA Oil and Gas Market Strategic Go-To-Market plan
• Drive industry/client insights into IA’s solution portfolio offerings
• Lead BV growth aspirations in the Market 
• Develop and foster internal (Client Segment Leader) & external (Clients) relationships
• Participate in and influence relevant BV key account planning and drive IA’s Oil & Gas account strategy and planning
• Influence marketing activity, market presence, & client positioning
• Trusted advisor to BV Client Segment Leaders for where, what and how to focus on strategic development, and collaborate to drive market specific direction for long term success
• Maintain connection to BV enterprise sales and account management approaches
• Responsible for driving market vertical pipeline management
  

Management Responsibilities

Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
• Typically 15+ years in a business/consulting environment
• Has successfully managed multiple engagements simultaneously
• Contributor or leader to acquire new engagements
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Typically 12-15+ years in a business/consulting environment.
• 10+ years of direct industry and/or consulting experience in oil & gas industry
• 8+ years experience in one or more solution areas (delivery or development) 
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Certifications related to area of expertise, where applicable preferred
• Comprehensive market understanding and awareness (current and future), with understanding of specific client needs
• Extensive experience in working with C-Suite executive in strategic development and advisory capacity 
• In-depth understanding of Black & Veatch Solutions and sub-offerings
• Experience articulating the business need for and provide strategic direction on developing innovative solutions for existing and prospective clients 
• Marketing and Business Development experience in successfully developing a new market and/or practice
• Pursuit strategy development and management experience
• Demonstrated ability to work with/adapt to varying disciplines and cross-functional teams Master’s degree preferred
  

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Virtual position with ability to travel up to 100%
