Job Summary

Pay: starting at $26.00/hr

Shift: Daytime (7:30 AM - 3:30 PM)

The Maintenance Technician Day Shift position is a regular, hourly full-time position responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and improving mechanical and electrical equipment & systems in a working manufacturing environment with an emphasis on employee safety as the top priority. The incumbent will report directly to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for keeping brewery equipment running to its full potential with a minimum amount of downtime.
  • Diagnose, repair and overhaul process pumps, automatic control valves, sensors, positioners, actuators, basic electrical AC/DC troubleshooting and related systems.
  • Diagnose and repair of all machinery and process malfunctions, must be fluent in mechanical troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting a plus.
  • Diagnose and repair of all mechanical power transmission equipment. Knowledge of Gear boxes, mechanical drives and variable speed applications.
  • Read and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics and piping diagrams.
  • Skilled in application and use of mechanical tools, hand tools, power tools and skilled in machine shop to machine within specific tolerance using various measuring equipment.
  • Responsibilities include operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and improving mechanical and electrical equipment & systems in a working manufacturing environment with an emphasis on employee safety as the top priority.
  • Must work well in a team oriented environment and have excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Follow company policies & procedures, reflect organizational core values and strive to maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
  • Applicant should possess strong mechanical ability with problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
  • Perform daily inspection of all brewery support utilities and equipment.
  • General understanding of specific beer process terminologies as they relate to maintenance needs.
  • Able to work in a loud production environment and flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly, bend, twist, crouch, kneel, and stand for 8-10 hours at a time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills Requirements:

The ideal candidate would have work experience in the brewing or beverage industry in a maintenance role. Or in a field of industrial operations, plant operations, maintenance, utilities and/or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of a technical based degree or diploma program is desired with an emphasis in Industrial Systems, Manufacturing Operations, Electrical Systems, Mechanical Engineering or a similar area of study.

Applicants must be 21 years of age or older and have a clean MVR background. Candidates must have a flexible schedule and ability to work nights and weekends.
