The Edward Law Group is growing and we are looking for an Medical Records Clerk to join our team.

We are looking for a diligent Medical Records Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for obtaining, organizing, and managing medical records for clients, ensuring accuracy and timely access to important documents. If you are detail-oriented, and passionate about helping injured individuals, this is the place for you!

Essential Job Functions:

• Request, track, and organize medical records and bills from healthcare providers.
• Review medical records for accuracy and completeness.
• Work closely with attorneys, case managers, paralegals, legal assistants to support personal injury cases.
• Communicate with clients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other legal regulations.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with medical records in a personal injury setting.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and medical terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Filevine case management software.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time

Pay: $17 - $22 an hour

Experience level:

• 2+ years

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Experience working with medical records in a legal, medical, or personal injury law firm setting: 2+ years (Required)
• Proven track record of managing high volumes of medical documents with exceptional attention to detail: 2+ years (Required)
• Experience with HIPAA regulations and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information: 2+ years (Required)
• Ability to review and summarize medical records accurately for legal case preparation: 2+ years (Required)
