Job Summary Join a mission-driven team in the Health Policy Division and contribute to improving health care value, quality, and accessibility for all Minnesotans. The role will manage web content to ensure communications are customer-focused, accessible and continuously improving their reach to rural and underserved Minnesota organizations supported by programs in the Office of Rural Health and Primary Care (ORHPC). This position will also coordinate records management to drive development, adoption and use of SharePoint and Teams for work management and collaboration and ensure continuous improvement of web-based services to enhance awareness of available resources and improve communication processes.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead and coordinate section communications activities to manage SharePoint and website content
- Coordinate the section's information and records management activities
- Drive and support development and use of SharePoint and Teams
- Provide administrative support to the ORHPC Director and Deputy Director.
This position requires in-office work in the St. Paul office location. Hybrid telework arrangements will be determined by business needs and is at supervisor discretion.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications To ensure proper crediting, please make sure your resume/application clearly outlines your experience in the areas listed below and includes the start and end month and year for each position held. One year* of experience with information management that includes electronic records storage and/or web-based communications design.
Minimum qualifications assessed during the interview process:
- Human relations skills sufficient to develop effective communication and working relationships with multiple internal and external audiences.
- Knowledge of computer software programs used in web page and document development and publication including HTML, graphic formats, and web page development software.
- Ability to prioritize and work productively with minimal supervision.
*A degree in business administration, communications, public administration or closely related field may substitute for experience as follows:
- Associates degree - six (6) months
- Bachelor's degree - twelve (12) months
Preferred Qualifications - Experience providing administrative and operational support to a busy office.
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
- Experience with Sharepoint and other web based content management systems.
- Experience with graphic design and publishing processes to design, prepare and format documents for publication for diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act and MDH department records management policies and procedures.
- Experience related to the implementation of a records retention schedule.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, communications or related field.
