3 different General Labor Positions At Poultry Farms:

1. Chicken Catcher (nightshift only)
2. General Labor at Hatchery
3. Ranch Laborer (morning shifts only)

Requirements for ALL positions:

• Be able to pass Drug and Background Screening
• Must be able to constantly lift 30-50 lbs for the duration of the work shift
• Must be able to bend, squat, and kneel for the duration of the work shift
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and shifts with variable starting and ending times when needed.
• No Allergies, able to work around birds
• Cannot be exposed to other birds at home
• Ability to tolerate strong bird-related odors on a daily basis
• Must have your own transportation

Chicken Catcher

$18/hour

Night shift - MUST BE ABLE TO WORK OVERNIGHT

Duties
Must be able to catch and load chickens in a timely, efficient, and safe manner into cages.
Ability to catch and load chickens using proper lifting and loading techniques. Operate catching and loading equipment using proper techniques and procedures to ensure safe handling of birds—other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Able to work - 8 to 14 hours shifts as needed
• Must be able to work the Night shift and be flexible with schedule changes!
• Maintain cleanliness and follow biosecurity protocols to ensure a healthy environment.
• Comfortable working closely with birds in various settings.
• Able to work in dusty or dirty conditions and handle manual bird care tasks.
• Adhere to animal welfare standards for humane bird care.
• Willingness to learn about bird species, behaviors, and care practices.

General Labor at Hatchery

17.50/hour

Day shifts

Temp to Hire

Duties

Work within the Hatchery warehouse where chicken eggs are grown and hatched. This includes moving racks of eggs throughout the warehouse, sanitation, sorting through and vaccination of eggs, etc.

Qualifications

• Ability to move1,500 lb Rack (on wheels) through rooms
• Ability to meet company pallet jack and/or forklift licensing requirements
• Ability to disinfect equipment and rooms safely and effectively
• Must adhere to disease control program
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach above head
• Ability to operate disinfectant equipment as well as tray washer
• Ability to work in a wet environment with temperature ranges
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work in dusty (chick down) environment
• Ability to meet company productivity and quality standards

Ranch Laborer

$17.50/hour

6am-2pm or 7am-3pm shifts (can be scheduled any days between Monday-Sunday)

Temp- to- hire

Duties

• To assist in maintaining the day-to-day operations of 50% of the ranch and its fryers. Including Feeding, Mortality removal, equipment adjustments, sanitation, etc.
• Assist with the grow-out program on the ranch - 20% setup, brooding, temperatures, ventilation, mortality, vaccination, and medication meet the highest level of quality and productivity.
• Assist with coordinating feed deliveries - 20% maintaining accurate feed and fuel inventories, and ensuring proper growing methods.
• Aid in maintaining facilities and equipment for optimal usage and good appearance.
• Learn about and assist with maintaining sanitation - 10% of conditions and disease protection procedures.
• Maintain a high awareness of industrial safety, animal welfare, and bio-security and report any problems directly to the Ranch Manager or Field Supervisor.

Requirements:

• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must have good mathematical and organizational skills.
• Preferably, will have a mechanical aptitude.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills (Basic English).
• Must possess or be able to learn supervisory and leadership skills.
• Must have the ability to work at other ranches/complexes as needed.
• Must have the ability to work in various ranch complexes as needed.
