Summary

Temple Emanu-El's Early Childhood Education Program is seeking an Assistant Teacher for our 2 Year Old Class. Immediate start (if possible).
Hours are Monday-Friday 8-5.
Must have a love for young children, enjoy working in a fast paced environment, and be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds and bend and move easily throughout the day.
We offer a variety of benefits including health insurance and retirement plan (we contribute 3% of salary annually), and personal time off. $20 per hour starting rate (plus paid for all holidays and when school is closed).

Duties

• Assist the Head Teacher in the implementation of activities
• Ensure that the children are safe and cared for at all times

Requirements

• A love for young children
• Ability to work well with others in a busy environment
• Strong oral communication skills and basic computer skills
• An understanding of child development
• Able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds and bend and move easily throughout the day.
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
