Job Description

Our nonprofit organization seeks a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee all financial operations and ensure long-term financial health and stability. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of nonprofit accounting principles and a proven track record of financial leadership. Responsibilities: •Financial Planning and Analysis:

• Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
• Prepare regular financial reports and analyses for the board of directors and senior leadership.

•Financial Operations:

• Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Manage cash flow and ensure timely payment of obligations.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls and compliance procedures.

•Fundraising and Donor Relations:

• Collaborate with the development team to identify and cultivate potential donors.
• Manage donor databases and track contributions.
• Prepare donor reports and acknowledgments.

•Board and Staff Relations:

• Provide financial advice and guidance to the board of directors.
• Work closely with program directors and staff to support their financial needs.
• Foster strong relationships with external auditors and other financial professionals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA certification required.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in nonprofit financial management is a must.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with nonprofit fundraising.
• Knowledge of Grant management and compliance for not-for-profit organizations.
• Proficiency in financial software and systems.
