Job Description
BARISTA Primer is looking for a skilled and passionate
barista to join our team at Canvas @ Valor Acres. The barista will be responsible for crafting and serving high-quality coffee and beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a welcoming and comfortable coffee shop environment.
This is a part time hourly position, that does not include benefits.
A typical day looks like: - Preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages to customers
- Greeting customers and taking orders with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Operating espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment with precision and care
- Maintaining a clean and organized coffee bar area, including restocking supplies
- Educating customers about coffee varieties, brewing methods, and specialty drinks
- Handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately
- Assisting in maintaining a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for customers
- Upholding hygiene and sanitation standards for all equipment and work areas
- Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
- Learning and adapting to new coffee blends and menu offerings
- Responding to customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns
Do you have what it takes?- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role
- Strong knowledge of coffee beans, brewing techniques, and espresso preparation
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Enthusiasm for coffee culture and a willingness to learn
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality beverages
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends
- Must be able to push, pull, and/or safely lift up to 50lbs
