Job Summary:

As an Appraisal Coordinator , you will play a pivotal role in the property appraisal process for both commercial and residential properties. You will be responsible for managing appraisal orders, ensuring compliance with internal standards, and maintaining effective communication between appraisers, clients, and internal departments. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will help ensure that appraisals are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Appraisal Orders: Coordinate and process appraisal requests for commercial and residential properties, including tracking progress from order placement through completion.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with a network of approved appraisers, ensuring they meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Quality Control: Review completed appraisals for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company guidelines and industry standards.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between appraisers, internal departments, and clients to ensure smooth and timely completion of appraisal reports.
  • Document Management: Collect, organize, and maintain all appraisal-related documentation, ensuring all records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with industry regulations.
  • Compliance: Ensure all appraisal activities are conducted in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as internal company policies and standards.
  • Client Support: Address client inquiries and provide status updates on appraisal orders, ensuring a high level of customer service throughout the process.
  • Problem Solving: Resolve any issues related to appraisal orders, delays, or discrepancies, ensuring all concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as the underwriting and loan processing departments, to ensure appraisals meet loan closing deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in mortgage, real estate, finance, or property appraisal coordination, preferably in commercial or residential real estate finance.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, finance, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with property appraisal processes, real estate markets, and relevant financial regulations.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with appraisal management software (preferred).
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential issues and proactively work to resolve them efficiently.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build effective relationships with appraisers, clients, and internal teams.
