Altera A-Lab LIS Analyst

Remote

20% onsite around instrumentation and map record testing for orders

Based in Evansville, IN

CST Hours

$70-75/hr W2

Contract through Aug 2025, could be extended

Why the role is open:

• Transitioning the JS lab to Epic Beaker eventually, looking into options to augment this team
• They need help with the JS lab integration
• They have little to no knowledge of Altera A-Lab

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for the Laboratory Information System (LIS), utilizing in-depth knowledge of the system to access and extract data, generate reports, and provide insights as needed.
• Perform testing on laboratory instruments to ensure they are receiving orders accurately and functioning as expected within the LIS environment.
• Oversee the maintenance and integrity of system integrations, ensuring all processes are built out, data is correctly extracted, and seamless connectivity is maintained between the LIS and other connected systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system and integration issues related to lab workflows and order management.
• Continuously monitor system performance to ensure optimal data flow, accuracy, and system reliability.
• Provide training and support to lab staff and other stakeholders to enhance their understanding of the LIS and its functionalities.

Must Have Required Experience & Technical Qualifications:

• Altera LIS SME - they don’t have any experience in this and need to fill this gap
• Testing exp, can lead testing for their go-live
• Translate Altera technical piece to not technical folks
• Can run reports within Altera LIS
• Somebody who can really get their hands in the system
• Not a person who just knows Altera EMR

Preferred / Desirable Experience & Technical Qualifications:

• Epic experience, doesn’t need any certifications
