Qualifications

• Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards and customer contract requirements and related specifications
• Work with engineering staff and prepare all necessary documents for the project including schedules, designs, drawings, and required reports
• A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a four-year college or university
• Seven years' experience in hydraulic component and systems design and development experience minimum or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of general design and drafting of mechanical equipment, prefer knowledge of aerospace equipment, especially hydraulic components or systems
• Ability to perform basic calculations such as weight, stress, and spring design
• Above average oral and written communication skills
• Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment; strong PC skills, knowledge of SolidWorks
• Excellent organizational skills
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and to conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. government
• Bachelor's (Required)
• Design engineering: 7 years (Required)

Responsibilities

• The Senior Design Engineer conducts analytical studies on engineering proposals and existing designs for hydraulic products by performing the following duties
• Engineer a project from the proposal phase all the way through qualification
• Ability to perform necessary calculations to show performance of equipment to specifications
